Meditation Essentials:

Engaging with your breath and chakras

In this workshop, McKenna will begin by taking you through a guided meditation to help bring awareness to your surroundings, showing you how to cultivate mindfulness, while also focusing on your root, sacral and solar plexus chakras. The guided meditation will include some simple breathing techniques and will incorporate healing chanting from the sounds of Jonathan Goldman, director of the Sound Healers Association, based in Boulder, CO. We will also discuss some simple ways in which you can continue to engage your lower chakras such as eating certain types of nutritious foods, wearing/using crystals and burning various incense to remain connected with those areas of your body.

Based in Toronto, Ontario, McKenna Wild has been privately practicing hatha and raja yoga for over 20 years. McKenna's passion for meditation first began when she was 10 years old after her mother encouraged her to begin seeing her yoga and meditation teacher, and since then McKenna has developed a dedicated practice that helps guide her through the ever-changing flow of life. When she's not on the mat, McKenna enjoys getting outside and sitting by the lake, going to the island, bike riding, golfing, drawing, painting, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
